Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Logistics & Dispatch Officer for our client in Nelspruit. This hybrid role balances on-site coordination with remote duties to ensure smooth movement of goods within the Mpumalanga region.

You will work with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to optimize schedules, maintain shipment records, and resolve operational issues efficiently. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or a related operational role.
• Strong understanding of transportation principles and supply chain processes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Proficiency in using dispatch software and standard office applications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with drivers and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the dispatch of vehicles and drivers for timely deliveries and pick-ups.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times.
• Maintain accurate records of all outgoing and incoming shipments, including inventory levels and delivery status.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing instructions, updates, and support throughout their shifts.
• Prepare and manage necessary logistical documentation, such as delivery notes and manifests.
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the dispatch and delivery process.
