Placements24 is looking for an Automotive Logistics Coordinator to join our client in Sandton, Gauteng. You will manage inbound and outbound shipments, liaise with carriers, track inventory, and ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field, and experience in automotive logistics with ERP experience (SAP/Oracle). It offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, SCM, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator, ideally in automotive logistics.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, transportation modes and logistics operations.
• Proficiency with logistics software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for automotive parts and vehicles.
• Manage relationships with shipping carriers and logistics partners.
• Track shipments and monitor inventory levels, addressing delays or issues.
• Prepare shipping documentation and invoices (bills of lading, customs).
• Optimize routes and methods to reduce transit times and costs.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing and sales for smooth coordination.
• Maintain accurate records of logistics operations and costs.
• Adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within logistics.
