Qualifications

• LLB degree and admission as an Attorney or Advocate in South Africa.
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in commercial litigation.
• Experience in legal research, drafting documents, and case management.
• Familiarity with South African court rules and procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a hybrid team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare case assessments and memorandums.
• Manage discovery processes including document review and e-discovery.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
• Assist in depositions, hearings, and trials with senior litigators.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Contribute to case strategy and provide analytical input throughout litigation.
