Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead IT security deployments in Centurion, Gauteng. The role operates in a hybrid setup, blending on-site collaboration with remote flexibility to strengthen security frameworks within a dynamic financial services environment.

You will plan, execute, and deliver security projects, managing resources, budgets, and vendor relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience with a focus on IT security projects.
• Experience implementing security solutions (firewalls, IDS, endpoint protection).
• Strong cybersecurity knowledge, threats, and best practices.
• Proficiency with PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (Jira, MS Project).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize IT security projects on time and within budget.
• Acquire and manage project resources including personnel and vendors.
• Define scope, goals, and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for security initiatives.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee security technology deployments.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues with proactive problem-solving.
• Communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal security policies.
• Facilitate security awareness training for teams and end-users.
• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned.
