Placements24 is seeking a motivated Information Security Analyst (Mid-Level) to join the team in Benoni, Gauteng. The role operates in a hybrid model, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration to support critical security operations.

You will monitor security systems, investigate threats, and assist in incident response. A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools, plus the ability to analyze complex data, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, CS, IT or related field.
• 2–4 years of information security experience.
• Familiarity with security monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS).
• Understanding of network security principles and attack vectors.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 or NIST is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS and other tools.
• Analyze security events and logs to identify threats.
• Assist in investigation and remediation of security incidents.
