Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager for a hybrid role in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will lead a team of engineers, drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, and optimise manufacturing processes and capital projects.
The role requires a Master’s in Industrial Engineering, 10+ years’ experience with at least 5 in management within automotive manufacturing, and a proven ability to deliver cost savings and efficiency gains.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive industrial engineering experience, 5+ in leadership.
- Proven track record leading automotive manufacturing improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers for continuous improvement.
- Develop strategic plans to optimize processes, layout, and material flow.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other excellence initiatives.
- Analyze production data, metrics, and financials to identify cost savings.
- Manage major capital investment projects for equipment and facilities.
- Collaborate with senior management, R&D, and production teams.
