Job summary

Placements24 in Upington is seeking an Industrial Engineer focused on manufacturing systems to join a hybrid team. You will analyze, design, and improve processes to boost efficiency, quality, and throughput, from assembly-line optimization to new production technologies.

Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance, apply lean and Six Sigma, and develop KPI dashboards while using simulation models to validate changes before implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in analyzing, designing, and improving manufacturing systems and processes.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in simulation software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Design and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop and utilize simulation models to test and validate process changes before implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and maintenance, on system integration.
• Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and tools on the production floor.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations.
