Placements24 seeks an experienced HSE Advisor to join our client in Polokwane, Limpopo. The role focuses on developing and implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, and delivering training to ensure regulatory compliance across exploration activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong safety mindset, 5+ years in HSE, and excellent communication skills to engage staff and contractors in a hybrid on-site/remote work setting in Polokwane.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in OH&S, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, in Polokwane.
• Hybrid work arrangement on-site and remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the company's HSE management system.
• Conduct site inspections and audits for regulatory compliance.
• Identify hazards and implement mitigation measures.
• Investigate incidents and prepare corrective action reports.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for staff and contractors.
• Ensure environmental protection policies are followed.
• Promote safety culture across the organization.
• Coordinate with regulators and stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Prepare HSE performance reports and maintain documentation.
