Ideal applicants hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) with 5+ years of experience and PE registration is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in power system analysis and planning.
• Proficiency in power system simulation software such as PSS/E, ETAP, DigSILENT PowerFactory, or similar.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, stability, and contingency analyses.
• Develop and maintain detailed models of the electrical network using industry-standard software.
• Analyze system performance data to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
• Provide technical recommendations for system upgrades, reinforcements, and operational changes.
• Collaborate with protection engineers to ensure effective and coordinated protection schemes.
• Support grid planning and expansion initiatives through comprehensive system analysis.
• Interpret study results and prepare clear, concise technical reports for stakeholders.
• Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry best practices in power system analysis.
• Assist in the investigation of major system disturbances.
