Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Hybrid Fundraising Specialist for a leading environmental charity in George, Western Cape. The role blends remote work with in-person donor meetings, and focuses on developing innovative fundraising strategies to support conservation projects.

You will manage donor relations, write grant proposals, and lead campaigns, with 3–5 years' non-profit fundraising experience. A Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications or Non-profit Management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of fundraising experience in the non-profit sector.
• Proven success in cultivating major gifts and securing grants.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong proposal and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising plans and campaigns to hit revenue targets.
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, foundations, and partners.
• Write compelling grant proposals and progress reports.
• Manage donor relationships and ensure engagement and retention.
• Organize fundraising events, virtual and in-person.
• Maintain donor databases and track progress.
• Collaborate with communications to create fundraising materials.
• Research funding opportunities and monitor philanthropy trends.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts for fundraising.
• Assist in annual fundraising budget development and management.
