Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Fundraising and Development Manager in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy, cultivate major gifts, craft grant proposals, and manage donor relations across individuals, corporations, and foundations to secure sustainable revenue for the organization.

This hybrid role combines remote work with essential on-site donor engagement, community events, and reporting to the executive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Non-profit Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fundraising, development, or non-profit management.
• Demonstrated success in securing significant funding through various channels.
• Exceptional grant writing and proposal development skills.
• Strong donor cultivation and stewardship strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a hybrid setting.
• Experience in Gauteng region is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals.
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individual donors, corporations, and foundations.
• Write compelling grant proposals and reports for funding applications.
• Manage and nurture relationships with existing donors, ensuring retention and increased giving.
• Organize and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals.
• Develop and manage the annual fundraising budget.
• Collaborate with the communications team to create persuasive fundraising materials.
• Track fundraising progress and provide regular reports to the executive team and board.
• Research potential funding sources and philanthropic trends.
• Steward donor relationships to foster long-term commitment and support for the organization's mission in Vereeniging.
