Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to optimize logistics and inventory for an FMCG operation in Centurion. You will analyze data, forecast demand, and implement improvements to reduce costs while maintaining high service levels.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, 2+ years in supply chain analysis, and proficiency in Excel and SQL. You will collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales, and report on key metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Logistics, or related quantitative field.
• 2+ years in supply chain analysis, preferably FMCG.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL).
• Familiarity with inventory management principles and supply chain planning software.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork in Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts, ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet customer needs without excessive carrying costs.
• Monitor inventory performance, implement inventory control measures, and manage stock replenishment strategies.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure seamless coordination of supply chain activities.
• Develop and present regular reports on key supply chain metrics, such as lead times, inventory turns, and transportation costs.
