Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic FMCG Category Manager to join our Centurion team. You will develop category strategies, analyze sales data, optimize assortment, and drive growth through pricing, promotions, and merchandising in a hybrid office/remote setup.

Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations to execute initiatives, monitor performance, and report insights to senior management. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years in category management within FMCG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management or a related role within FMCG.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Proven ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and drive commercial agreements.
• Excellent understanding of retail and consumer dynamics within FMCG.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities and category challenges.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and optimize product assortment for maximum profitability.

• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives.
• Monitor category performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reporting and actionable insights to senior management.
