Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic and experienced Category Manager to drive growth and profitability for key FMCG product categories in a remote-first setup. The role emphasizes developing category strategies that align with consumer needs and business objectives, including assortment, pricing, and promotions.

You will analyze sales data, trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with marketing and sales on go-to-market plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• MBA is a plus.
• 5–7 years in category or brand management in FMCG.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies including assortment, pricing, and promotions.
• Analyze sales data, trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate terms for cost, quality, and supply.
• Ensure optimal product placement and merchandising to maximize sales.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales on go-to-market plans for new products.
• Monitor performance against targets and report insights to leadership.
