Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a hybrid role in East London, South Africa. You will maintain and troubleshoot complex electrical systems on site while planning and analyzing remotely to optimize production reliability.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and continuous improvement across industrial facilities. The ideal candidate has a National Diploma or BEng in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLC/HMI systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical equipment (motors, drives, PLCs, HMI, switchgear).
• Troubleshoot faults and implement repairs to restore functionality.
• Analyze equipment data to identify reliability improvements.
• Develop maintenance schedules and ensure safety compliance.
• Manage spare parts inventory for electrical components.
• Collaborate with production/engineering to minimize downtime.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records using CMMS.
