Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor in Randburg, Gauteng. The role blends hands-on electrical expertise with team leadership in a hybrid setup, overseeing planned and reactive maintenance to keep electrical systems running safely and efficiently.

You will supervise electricians, develop preventive maintenance programs, diagnose faults, and coordinate with production. Remote admin duties are part of the hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Proven experience supervising a technical team.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor control, PLCs and distribution.
• Familiarity with OHS Act and safety standards.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; strong leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and develop electricians and maintenance techs.
• Develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and execute repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage spare parts inventory and budget; plan maintenance with production.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment; audits and records.
• Coordinate with external contractors and report performance remotely.
