Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team and ensure reliable plant equipment and facilities. You will plan, direct, and optimize electrical maintenance activities, while promoting safety culture and cost-effective downtime reduction.

The role requires strong technical knowledge in high/low voltage systems, motor control, and PLC systems, plus proven leadership to develop the team and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of high/low voltage systems, motor control and power distribution.
• Experience with PLCs and industrial automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the electrical maintenance team.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with procurement for supplies.
• Conduct performance reviews and training for team members.
