Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Engineer with power systems expertise to join our George team. You will design, develop, and implement electrical infrastructure for energy projects, ensuring reliability and efficiency across the Western Cape.

The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers and technicians, perform power system analyses, and ensure compliance with SANS codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in electrical engineering focusing on power systems.
• Proficiency in ETAP and PSS/E; knowledge of SANS safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems, including distribution networks, substations, and protection schemes.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability studies using industry-standard software.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical equipment and installations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project planning, execution, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical engineering issues during project lifecycle and in operational phases.
