Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an experienced Power Systems Electrical Engineer in Vereeniging for a hybrid role combining on-site analysis with remote design work. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power system analysis and design.
- Proficiency with power system simulation software (ETAP, PSS/E, DigSILENT PowerFactory).
- Knowledge of grid codes and electrical protection principles.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex technical data.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze electrical power distribution systems, including substations and transmission lines.
- Perform load flow, short-circuit, and stability studies using specialized software.
- Develop protection schemes and coordinate relays for power systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for power infrastructure.
- Collaborate with field teams during installation and commissioning phases.
