The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, 3+ years in control systems, and strong skills in PLC platforms, HMI/SCADA software, schematics, and networked automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial control systems engineering.
• Proficiency in PLC platforms (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA software (WinCC, FactoryTalk View, Ignition).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication in a hybrid team environment.
• Willingness to work on-site in Paarl for essential tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC and HMI solutions for industrial automation systems.
• Program and configure SCADA systems for process monitoring and control.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics and control panel layouts for automation projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, PLCs, HMI, and SCADA software.
• Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning of automated processes.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define control system requirements and specifications.
• Optimize existing automation systems for improved efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Stay current with advancements in automation technology and industry standards.
• Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance staff.
• Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and timeline management for control system projects.
