Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Control Systems Engineer in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will design, program, and commission industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, delivering reliable automation solutions for diverse manufacturing clients.

The role combines office-based design with on-site commissioning in a hybrid work setting. Applicants should have a strong background in electrical engineering, control hardware and software, and a collaborative approach

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 5+ years designing, programming and commissioning industrial control systems.
• Proficiency with PLC platforms (Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA software.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
• Experience with VFDs, servo systems and robotic integration is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Design electrical control panels and schematics for industrial automation systems using CAD software.
• Program and configure PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Develop and implement control strategies to optimize process efficiency and equipment performance.
