Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking an Early Years Educator & Play Facilitator to create engaging play-based learning experiences for children aged 0-5. You will supervise safety, document progress, and maintain a welcoming, inclusive classroom both on-site and via remote check-ins when needed.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education with at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with children aged 0-5.
• Hybrid work model balancing on-site and remote duties.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver play-based learning activities aligned with early childhood development frameworks.
• Supervise and ensure safety of children during activities, including remote check-ins if applicable.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and social interaction.
• Observe and document children's progress, strengths, and areas for development.
• Communicate regularly with parents about the child's learning journey and development.
• Prepare and manage educational materials and learning spaces.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum enhancements.
• Conduct remote check-ins or virtual parent consultations as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
