Job summary

Advania UK is seeking a Business Central Developer to join our Cape Town team on a specialist technical role working on a wide range of client projects. You will engage with clients to understand requirements, design data flows, and develop Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC customisations.

The role involves scope estimation, training support, troubleshooting both on-premises and cloud, and ensuring on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS).
Experience with git-based source control systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub).
Deep understanding of C/AL and AL programming languages.
Experience with Shopify connectors and integrations.
SQL expertise: T-SQL, SSRS, indexing/keys.
RDLC report design using Microsoft Report Builder.
Familiarity with third-party ISVs such as Jet Reports, MobileNAV, Tasklet Factory Mobile WMS.
Experience in a Microsoft Partner organisation is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Clients to understand requirements, data, workflows and dependencies.
Scope and estimate projects, provide cost estimates, and set delivery schedules.
Customisation development to meet client needs.
User training support to empower users on solutions.
Client communication about delays while maintaining relationships.
Troubleshoot Business Central and NAV issues (on-premises or cloud).
Deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting client specifications.
