A leading technology firm in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer. This full-time position involves leading troubleshooting efforts, mentoring junior developers, and enhancing Business Central solutions. Candidates must have substantial experience with Dynamics 365, strong technical skills, and a relevant degree. The role is hybrid, requiring one day in-office work each week.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation and resolution of complex Business Central and NAV issues (on-premise and cloud)
• Provide expert-level support for customisations, integrations, and third-party ISVs
• Mentor junior developers and support consultants
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend long-term fixes or architectural changes

Skills

Extensive experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS)

Strong technical skills in AL and C/AL

Proven debugging and performance optimisation skills

PowerShell scripting experience for admin and automation

Proficiency with git-based source control (Azure DevOps, GitHub)

Experience in client-facing support roles

Ability to mentor junior team members

Strong communication and stakeholder management

Understanding of financial processes (P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance)

Ability to manage and prioritise workload

Solid grasp of business processes

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate

Tools

Third-party ISVs (Jet Reports, MobileNAV, Tasklet Factory Mobile WMS)
