Placements24 is seeking a hands-on Decentralized Application (dApp) Developer for a hybrid role in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will build user-friendly interfaces and robust backend logic for blockchain-based applications, collaborating with a dynamic team to ship secure dApps.

You should have 2+ years in software development with at least 1 year in blockchain/dApp projects, experience with JavaScript, Solidity and Python, and familiarity with IPFS and smart contract tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years software development with at least 1 year in blockchain/dApp.
• Proficient in JavaScript, Solidity and Python.
• Experience with React or Vue.js for front-end; Hardhat/Truffle for contracts.
• Understanding of blockchain concepts and wallets.
• Familiarity with IPFS and oracles.
• Git version control experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy decentralized applications (dApps) on blockchain platforms.
• Write clean, efficient smart contracts for dApp functionalities.
• Integrate front-end interfaces with smart contracts and networks.
• Design user-centric dApp experiences focusing on usability and performance.
• Collaborate with UI/UX, product managers, and developers to build concepts.
