Placements24 is seeking a Decentralized Applications (dApps) Developer for its Pretoria, Gauteng team. You will design, build, and deploy dApps leveraging blockchain technology, covering smart contract logic to front-end integration.

The role requires 2+ years in software development with at least 1 year in blockchain/dApp work, and proficiency in Solidity along with Web3 libraries. A hybrid work arrangement is offered in Pretoria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of software development, with at least 1 year in blockchain/dApp development.
• Proficiency in Solidity and smart contract development.
• Experience with Web3 libraries and frameworks (ethers.js, web3.js, Hardhat, Truffle).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain smart contracts for various blockchain platforms.
• Build user-friendly decentralized applications (dApps) integrating with blockchain networks.
• Design and implement secure front-end and back-end components for dApps.
• Work with blockchain node providers and integrate with blockchain APIs.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive dApp interfaces.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for smart contracts and dApp components.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the dApp stack.
• Stay current with emerging trends in the dApp and Web3 space.
