Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Construction Contracts Manager for our projects in Soweto and the surrounding Gauteng area. The role covers contract administration from tender through completion, including drafting, negotiating, and enforcing contracts, managing claims, and ensuring compliance with terms.

This hybrid position balances on-site engagement with office-based responsibilities. You will oversee end-to-end contract administration, negotiate favorable terms with clients,

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in construction contract management and administration.
• Strong knowledge of SA contract law, FIDIC, and JBCC forms of contract.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills; proficient in dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end contract administration for construction projects, including tender preparation and adjudication.
• Negotiate terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
• Monitor performance, identify breaches or disputes, and develop resolution strategies.
• Manage the claims process, including assessment, negotiation, and documentation of variations and claims.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, legal requirements, and company policies.
• Liaise with project managers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders on contractual matters.
