Placements24 is seeking a proactive Civil Engineer in Polokwane to lead site development and urban planning initiatives for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role blends design work with on-site assessments and stakeholder coordination.

You will analyze site conditions, manage drainage and grading, design utilities, and ensure projects integrate with the urban fabric while collaborating with architects and consultants. A hybrid work model is offered with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PrEng registration is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in site development and urban infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and GIS.
• Strong understanding of stormwater management, hydrology, and grading design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site feasibility studies, including topographical surveys, environmental assessments, and zoning compliance checks.
• Design site grading, stormwater management systems, and utility connections (water, sewer, electrical).
• Prepare site development plans, construction drawings, and permit applications.
• Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Oversee construction activities related to site development, ensuring adherence to design specifications and timelines.
• Liaise with municipal authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
