Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Catering Event Coordinator to manage and execute catering events in and around Paarl. You will be the primary client contact, coordinating with culinary and logistics teams to ensure flawless execution from planning to delivery, with a strong emphasis on client satisfaction and high-quality service.

This hybrid role combines remote planning with on-site event setup, management, and liaison.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event coordination or management, preferably within the catering or hospitality industry.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for client relations.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously under pressure.
• Proficiency with event planning software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of catering events, including menu selection, logistics, and staffing requirements.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the planning process.
• Develop event timelines and manage schedules to ensure punctual execution of all services.
• Liaise with chefs, servers, and vendors to confirm arrangements and details for each event.
• Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown, ensuring adherence to high standards of quality and presentation.
