Placements24 is seeking a Senior Blockchain Developer in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, to architect, develop, and deploy secure smart contracts and innovative dApps for a rapidly growing DeFi innovator. You will lead technical design, ensure security, and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative, agile environment.

The role demands 5+ years of experience, strong cryptography knowledge, and hands-on expertise with Solidity, Truffle/Hardhat, and front-end integration (React/Vue).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Blockchain Developer or Smart Contract Engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, and token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721).
• Proficiency in Solidity, Vyper, or equivalent.
• Experience with frameworks such as Truffle, Hardhat, Ganache.
• Familiarity with front-end integration (React, Vue.js) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and secure smart contracts on Ethereum-like blockchains.
• Architect and implement complex dApps, ensuring performance, scalability and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into blockchain solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, security audits, and performance optimizations for smart contracts and dApps.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and strategy for blockchain initiatives.
