Job summary

MRI Software in Cape Town is seeking a Billing Specialist to handle end-to-end billing for specific verticals. You will work with Finance, Legal, and Sales to bill new deals, renewals, and portfolio additions, ensuring timely monthly closes.

The role emphasizes accuracy, problem-solving, and collaboration within a hybrid work model with three days from home. Prior billing experience and Excel proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2–3 years of billing or accounting experience.
• Strong ability to resolve discrepancies; proficient with billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Process billing opportunities for MRI Software verticals.
• Understand end-to-end revenue impact of billing, including credits and deferred revenue.
• Identify, track, and resolve potential billing issues and disputes.
• Review contracts and order documents related to fee schedules and billing with Legal; coordinate with Sales.
• Maintain client information in billing system to ensure proper invoicing delivery.
• Suggest optimisations and participate in cross-training within the department.
