Job summary

Digital Outsource Services in Cape Town is seeking a Manager Business Intelligence Reporting to lead the BI team within the Finance Reporting portfolio. You will drive delivery, automation, and data quality across TM1, Power BI, SQL Data Warehouse and ClickHouse to provide near real-time insights.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, ensure SOX controls, and mentor colleagues to raise data literacy while migrating on-prem data to AWS/cloud data platforms. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience of at least 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage a BI team including recruitment and day-to-day leadership.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and drive solutions.
• Ensure adherence to change-management processes and SOX controls across all team activities.
• Collaborate with product owners, tech lead and DevOps to ensure coverage and delivery of software requirements.
• Develop team capability on both business and technical fronts, supporting growth.
• Create personalised career growth plans for each team member using the skills-assessment framework.
• Represent the team and take accountability for overall delivery and outcomes.
• Integrate ERP and finance data into databases, TM1 cubes, and downstream reporting platforms.
• Design, enhance and optimise data architectures, data models and data marts, aligned to migration of some on-prem systems to AWS, SQL Data Warehouse and ClickHouse.
• Lead and contribute to end-to-end data migration initiatives, ensuring data quality, performance, auditability and business continuity.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards consuming data from SQL, TM1, and ClickHouse.
• Automate data extracts and controls required for SOX and audit compliance with robust logging and monitoring.
• Continuously analyse and improve data pipelines, reporting processes and performance across the BI estate.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners and Finance stakeholders to deliver outcomes within timelines and scope.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members and support uplift of data literacy within Finance.
