Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior BI Developer in Bloemfontein to design, implement, and maintain BI infrastructure including data warehouses, ETL processes, and reporting. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver dashboards and insights that drive strategic decisions, with a hybrid work arrangement blending in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in BI/data warehousing, strong SQL and modeling skills, and experience with Power BI/Tableau/Qlik,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BI development or data warehousing.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Expertise with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView/Qlik Sense.
• Knowledge of Kimball or Inmon dimensional modeling.
• Experience ETL design with SSIS, Informatica, or Talend.
• Familiarity with cloud BI solutions (Azure Analysis Services, AWS Redshift).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Manufacturing or retail sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement BI solutions including data warehouses.
• Create and maintain ETL processes to load data from various sources.
• Develop dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
• Model data to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility.
