Job summary

ATS Client in Johannesburg seeks a Senior BI Developer to join a dynamic IT-focused team. You will manage SQL/ETL tasks, design SQL datasets, and develop BI reports in Power BI and Tableau, supporting monthly closes and dashboards.

Qualifications

• IT related degree or diploma or relevant cloud certification.
• Proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI.
• Tableau experience is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data modelling.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Querying: Managing SSIS packages and maintenance
• Transformations: Creating and managing SQL stored procedures
• Troubleshooting: Investigating and resolving SQL bugs
• Data Design: Designing and building SQL datasets for reporting
• Data Handling: Loading and verifying SQL monthly source data
• Data Analysis: Manipulating and analysing data
• Reporting: Running month-end packs in Tableau
• Daily Reporting: Managing daily SQL data and Tableau reports
• Report Development: Developing and automating new BI reports
