Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Automotive Electrician to diagnose, repair, and install complex electrical systems in vehicles. The role covers a range from routine maintenance to specialized custom work, blending hands-on work with remote support as needed.

The candidate will work with a hybrid team serving the Paarl region, leveraging diagnostic tools and wiring diagram expertise to ensure optimal electrical performance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Automotive Electrician.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical theory and diagnostics.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in automotive electrical systems including wiring, batteries, alternators and starter motors.
• Install and configure aftermarket electronic accessories such as sound systems, alarms, and navigation devices.
• Interpret complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical components to prevent future issues.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve electrical problems efficiently.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members, including remote consultations when needed.
