Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Electronics Technician in Pretoria. This hybrid role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex automotive electronic systems both on-site and remotely.

You will use advanced diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal vehicle performance and work with a hands-on team on cutting-edge automotive solutions. The position requires experience with ECUs, ADAS, sensors, and soldering, plus the ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.

Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Electronics Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, sensors and actuators.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes and soldering equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
• Certifications in automotive electronics are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive electronic systems, including ECUs, infotainment, and ADAS.
• Perform electronic component testing, soldering, and replacement with precision.
• Utilize diagnostic software, oscilloscopes, multimeters and other tools to identify faults.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics to guide repair processes.
• Collaborate with engineering on testing new components and systems.
• Document all repair actions, findings and parts used in the system.
