Job summary

Placements24 in Pretoria is seeking an Automotive Electrician & Diagnostics Expert to join a reputable workshop. You will diagnose and repair complex electrical faults, ensure all systems operate at peak performance, and combine on-site work with remote diagnostic analysis when needed.

The ideal candidate holds a trade qualification and at least six years’ hands-on experience with CAN bus, diagnostic software, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Automotive Electrician or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years' hands-on experience in automotive electrical systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic software, multimeters, oscilloscopes and circuit testers.
• Strong understanding of CAN bus and vehicle networking protocols.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities in electrical diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical system issues in vehicles.
• Install and troubleshoot aftermarket electrical accessories.
• Use diagnostic equipment and oscilloscopes to locate faults.
