Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrician to join their Paarl workshop in the Western Cape. You will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair vehicle electrical systems, from basic wiring to advanced electronic components, ensuring safety and reliability.

You will use diagnostic tools and read wiring diagrams, contributing to high-quality workmanship and adherence to manufacturer specifications in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical principles and components.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and multimeters.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• A relevant trade qualification or certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, including lighting, starting, charging, and accessory circuits.
• Install and service aftermarket electrical components, such as audio systems, alarms, and tracking devices.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot ECMs and sensors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicle electrical systems.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
