Job summary

Johnson Controls in Carletonville is seeking an entry-level HVAC service assistant to support our service team with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical HVAC systems at customer sites. You will assist senior technicians during visits and help diagnose issues to keep equipment operating reliably.

You'll document service activities, follow safety and quality guidelines, and communicate professionally with customers on site.

What You Will Do

You will support our HVAC Service Team in delivering maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for mechanical HVAC systems across customer sites in Carletonville. You will assist senior technicians during service visits, help diagnose system issues, and contribute to the reliable performance of Johnson Controls’ HVAC equipment.

How You Will Do It

• Work alongside senior HVAC technicians during inspections, service calls, and preventive maintenance
• Support troubleshooting of chillers, package units, split systems, pumps, and mechanical components
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment and related systems
• Document service activities, findings, and parts usage according to Johnson Controls standards
• Follow all safety procedures, compliance requirements, and quality guidelines
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers during site visits
• Build your technical capability through structured training, mentoring, and hands‑on field experience
