Placements24 is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanical Engineer to design and oversee the implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for projects around Upington. You will ensure efficient, reliable, and compliant HVAC solutions that meet environmental control needs of buildings and facilities.

You will work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to industrial facilities, collaborating with architects and construction teams to deliver optimal indoor environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP) and load calculation tools.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles as applied to HVAC.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and energy efficiency standards.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems, including load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork/piping layouts.
• Develop detailed mechanical drawings and specifications for HVAC installations.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring they meet design intent and performance criteria.
