Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrable experience in HVAC design, including load calculations and system layout.
• Proficiency with HVAC design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, and fluid dynamics.
• Knowledge of building codes and energy efficiency standards (e.g., SANS).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, adaptable to hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems for new construction and retrofit projects.
• Prepare detailed schematics, specifications, and control sequences for HVAC installations.
• Perform load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and energy efficiency regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders.
