Placements24 is seeking a specialized HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join our building services team in Benoni. The role focuses on design, implementation, and maintenance of HVAC systems for commercial and industrial projects, ensuring performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with building codes.

You will design, specify, and oversee installation and commissioning, perform energy analyses, and collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with HVAC specialization.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in HVAC design and project execution.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, and energy modeling tools.
• Knowledge of local codes, standards, and regulations related to HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including load calculations and ductwork for commercial/industrial buildings.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and BOQ for HVAC installations.
• Oversee installation and commissioning ensuring design intent and standards.
• Conduct energy analysis and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Troubleshoot HVAC performance issues and liaise with architects/contractors/clients.
