Job summary

Toyota South Africa Motors HR Services is seeking a candidate with a passion for people, analytics, and customer service to support plant-level HR operations in Durban. The role emphasizes HR principles, prudent judgment, and transformational initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant NQF 5 degree, 2+ years HR experience in manufacturing, strong labour law knowledge, and proficiency in SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in HR management or industrial psychology (NQF 5).
• Minimum 2 years HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Labour Legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, Skills Development Act) advantageous.
• Experience in Recruitment, IR, Succession, Retention and Career planning, Performance management and Manpower planning.
• Advanced Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise line managers on conduct and misconduct processes.
• Advise management and employees on HR policies and procedures.
• Advise on work matters, career development, personal problems, and industrial matters.
• Handle internal IR matters at plant level.
• Ensure resourcing process adherence; jobs advertised on SuccessFactors and tracked.
• Manage interviews with Line Managers and selection tests.
• Manage terminations and exit interviews.
• Headcount management at the plant level.
• Update HR information and ensure data integrity in systems.
• Coordinate HR administrative tasks and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
