Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking a hands-on HR & Payroll Generalist for an on-site role in Stellenbosch within a prestigious hospitality environment. You will manage full payroll cycles, recruitment, employee relations and HR administration across the estate, ensuring compliance with SA laws and accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience with payroll responsibility, strong Excel skills and familiarity with SAGE 300 or Pastel Evolution.

• Proven experience managing a full payroll cycle.
• Strong knowledge of SA labour legislation, BCEA, PAYE, UIF & COIDA.
• Excellent Excel skills.

HR & PAYROLL GENERALIST | STELLENBOSCH

Are you an experienced HR & Payroll professional looking for a hands-on role within a prestigious hospitality and lifestyle environment? We are looking for a highly organised, detail-driven HR & Payroll Generalist to provide comprehensive HR and payroll support across a dynamic estate.

THE ROLE

This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Head of HR and Finance Manager, with responsibility across:

• Full-cycle payroll administration – fortnightly & monthly
• Recruitment, selection & onboarding
• Employee relations & performance management
• HR administration & employee records
• Labour legislation & statutory compliance
• SARS, UIF, COIDA & payroll submissions
• Payroll reconciliations, journals & reporting
• Training, development & skills reporting
• Employee engagement & wellness initiatives
• HR reporting, audits & general HR projects

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Management or related field
• 3–5 years' HR Generalist experience with payroll responsibility
• Proven experience managing a full payroll cycle
• Strong knowledge of SA labour legislation, BCEA, PAYE, UIF & COIDA
• Excellent Excel skills
• SAGE 300 / Pastel Evolution & ESS experience advantageous
• Hospitality or service industry experience advantageous
• SDF qualification advantageous
