Job summary

A well-established metal and engineering specialist in Gauteng is seeking an HR Officer to oversee HR operations. The ideal candidate will manage functions including recruitment, payroll administration, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with MIBFA and MEIBC. A diploma or degree in Human Resources is required, along with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within the metal or engineering sectors. A highly competitive salary will be offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of solid generalist HR experience.
• Prior experience within the metal or engineering industry is essential.
• Comfortable facilitating and interpreting psychometric assessments.
• Experience with MIBFA and MEIBC benefits and bargaining council processes.
• Proficiency with Sage Cloud-based Payroll and Sage VIP Cloud.
• Ability to facilitate and interpret psychometric assessments.

• Administer payroll using Sage Cloud-based Payroll and Sage VIP Cloud.




• Coordinate MIBFA (Metal Industries Benefit Funds Administrators) and MEIBC (Metal & Engineering Industries Bargaining Council) compliance and benefits administration.




• Support employee relations, performance management, leave and absence tracking, and general HR administration.




• Facilitate psychometric assessments as part of candidate screening and employee development.




• Maintain accurate HR records and generate relevant reports.

Requirements
