Job summary

Pele Energy Group is seeking an HR Graduate to provide quality compliance support and administrative assistance across the full employment life cycle in Sandton, Gauteng. The role offers hands‑on exposure to recruitment, performance management, labour relations, compensation, and governance, with mentorship and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include onboarding/offboarding admin, induction scheduling, payroll support, and compliance tracking, while building practical expertise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology, HR Management, or Labour Relations.
• Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, OHSA, and other labour legislation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of new joiners and leavers.
• Schedule induction and information sessions.
• Update employee files with required documents (contracts, etc).
• Assist with leaver administration including UI19s and Certificates of Service.
• Support pre‑employment processes and posting new positions on career sites.
• Sort resumes and log them into tracking spreadsheets.
• Coordinate interviews, psychometric assessments, and verifications.
• Perform reference and background checks.
• Stay updated on HR laws and POPIA compliance.
• Update HR databases and ensure document retention compliance.
• Track progress and deadlines for HR projects.
• Research data for HR initiatives and HR trackers (timesheets, recruitment, IR logs).
• Support payroll processes including movements, terminations, retirements, dismissals, transfers, retrenchments.
