Job summary

AJ Personnel is assisting with a Human Resources Generalist vacancy at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Gauteng. The successful candidate will advise on HR policies and implement HR solutions across induction, employee relations, recruitment, benefits and administration.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in HR, 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience, and a valid driver's license with own vehicle to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in a full HR Generalist role.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with own vehicle and can travel to different sites.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate recruitment and selection process within the unit in conjunction with Line Managers, including adverts, interviews and contracting.
• Provide Line Managers with guidance and support on HR activities (policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, grievances/disciplinaries, training, performance management).
• Provide advice and facilitation of the performance management process within the unit, including probation, appraisals and poor performance counselling.
• Conduct disciplinary investigations and provide objective, fair advice in disciplinary actions.
• Identify and advise on employee training needs with Divisional HR Manager.
• Process and capture new and temporary employees, transfers, promotions, terminations and other payroll-related services.
• Facilitate induction and orientation for new employees.
• Generate all required HR administration within deadlines.
