Job summary

Wits Health Consortium is seeking an HR Generalist to advise on HR policies and support all HR functions, including induction, recruitment, employee relations, benefits and administration. The role requires 3–5 years in HR Generalist work and a valid driver’s license to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ working experience in a full Human Resources Generalist role.
• Valid driver’s license with own vehicle and ability to travel to different sites.

Responsibilities

• Advise on and implement human resources policies and assist in all HR functions including induction, employee relations, recruitment, benefits and administration.
• Facilitate recruitment and selection processes with Line Managers, including advert design, interview scheduling and contracting.
• Provide guidance to Line Managers on HR activities (policies, terms of employment, grievances, training, performance management).
• Facilitate performance management processes including probation, appraisals and counselling for poor performance.
• Conduct disciplinary investigations to ensure objectivity and fairness in actions in conjunction with HR leadership.
• Identify and advise on employee training needs in collaboration with the Divisional HR Manager.
• Process and capture new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and payroll-related services for timely payroll processing.
• Coordinate induction and orientation for new employees.
• Generate all required HR administration within deadlines.
