Job summary

Propr is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor in Cape Town to uphold 5* cleanliness across all properties. You will lead the housekeeping team, sharpen communication, and drive daily performance through training and feedback.

Role requires 3–5 years in hotel housekeeping supervision and strong English communication. You will work standard hours and report to Operations/Property Managers, with duties spanning check-ins, admin, and guest interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years hotel housekeeping supervisor experience.
• Based in or around the Cape Town area.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak).
• Smartphone with WhatsApp enabled.
• High levels of personal hygiene.
• Clean criminal record.
• Reference letters from hotels you have worked at.

Responsibilities

• Ensure properties are cleaned to 5* standards.
• Assist deep cleaning for new properties to guest-ready state.
• Supervise housekeeping team and improve communication/efficiency.
• Spot and report damages for quick rectification.
• Work with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance.

• Manage keys and assets.
• Perform spot checks of cleans and owner booking checks.
• Provide daily feedback to operations/managers.

Job description

This is a Cape Town based position that requires applicants to have previous Hotel or Hospitality Housekeeping Supervisor experience. Please note that candidates without the necessary experience will not be shortlisted.

This role is all about maintaining our high standard of cleanliness throughout all of our properties. As a Housekeeping Supervisor at Propr, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Housekeeping team. Your main focus would be improving team communication and efficiency, managing all training needs and inspiring the team daily!

What you’ll be doing:

• Ensure our properties are cleaned to 5* standards
• Help to get our new properties deep cleaned so that they are guest-ready
• Work as part of our expanding housekeeping team
• Able to spot and report damages so that our team can rectify them
• Work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
• Interacting with our guests and doing so with a high level of professionalism
• Working hours: 08:30-17:30
• Assign keys and company assets
• Complete spot checks of cleans
• Complete owner booking checks before owners arrive
• Give feedback daily
• Communicate well with Operations Managers and Property Managers
• Complete cleans when needed
• Train new employees
• Help with checkins as and when required
• Help with admin duties as and when needed
