Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public areas, corridors, lobbies, restrooms, and back-of-house spaces to hotel standards.
• Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces to ensure hygiene and presentation.
• Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Follow health, hygiene, and safety procedures while performing duties.
• Report hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Assist housekeeping and other departments to maintain a positive guest experience.
• Monitor cleaning supply levels and report shortages.
• Handle equipment and supplies with care to prevent loss or damage.

Hospitality Hire is seeking a reliable Houseman with working experience in a hotel to join the housekeeping team and ensure clean, safe, and welcoming environments throughout the hotel. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the hotel’s hygiene and presentation standards, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Critical Criteria (Requirements)

• Grade 12 certificate required
• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is advantageous but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Good time management, organizational skills, and professional attitude
• South African citizen with a valid ID
